... too lazy to write anything today, so I've decided to post pics (again)...


... woke up yesterday morning to a really cold morning, put a beanie on my baby so he wouldn't catch a cold, I hate looking after a sick baby...

... after bringing my daughter to her basketball game (left her with her team mates as she had 2 games to play), went home to get the van ready as Pat and his friends were going to watch Pirates 4 as a birthday celebration (instead of having a party)...

... after Jeff and the boys left, I left as well to pick up my daughter and see if I can still watch a bit of her game...

yesterday

... yesterday was really so full-on that I can only post pics of what we've been doing, the day before I was baking an order and yesterday I was still baking away as it was my son's 12th birthday, I promised to bring a frozen brazo cake and cupcakes to his class at recess but didn't realize how quick the time came that it was lunch by the time we were able to bring the cake and cupcakes to school hahaha... talk about time management, anyway, soon after that I was still in the mood to bake so I tried to make a red velvet cake...

8 months

...today my baby turned 8 months, he has started crawling now and it has definitely been easier to look after him... if he is in the mood, he can just sit on the floor close to where I am and I can happily do whatever I want hehehe... I just can't believe that it has been 8 months already, I find it too quick, really and I am just not ready to let go...

... next week I have a son turning 12, the week after that my eldest turns 16 and the week after that a daughter turns 3... that's 3 weeks of partying hehehe...

... oh yeah, I've started selling my home made cakes and even made up a facebook page called "anne.bakes.cakes"... somehow I managed to get more than 25 people to like it so that I can own the page (thanks to everyone who liked it, truly appreciate it) and got a few orders, too... thank you, Lord for giving me this gift of baking, I am truly happy to be able to do something that I really, really love! (aside from parenting, baking is next in line)...

a friend's birthday cake

... a few weeks ago, a good friend of mine celebrated her birthday and because of this obsession of mine, I decided to give her a cake as a gift... I asked her what kind she wanted and she said whichever was easiest to make, so I made her an Ube-Macapuno Cake since I already had all the ingredients I needed... what an absolutely valid excuse for me to bake yet again hehehe... hubby keeps on asking me why I keep baking, I just simply say because I want to...

... lucky her kids were with me after school, so she had to pass by our place, I didn't need to bring the cake to her place anymore, we could just eat it here or she can just bring it home... so we sang her a happy birthday and they took half of the cake home, then my kids just dug in, this is what's left of it after...

... was pretty happy that my kids loved it, I didn't think that they'd enjoy it... but anyway, was pretty impressed that they liked it...

... the next day, my friend texted me saying that her daughter said it was the best ube cake ever! yay! glad to hear that they loved it... so now people are telling me that I should sell my cakes... am seriously thinking about it...

birthday cupcakes for school

... it's been awhile since I wrote my last entry... life has somehow got in the way... a lot of activities for the kids with me driving them around... one of the perks of being a mom, you get to be driver of all, not that I'm complaining but it sometimes get a little bit tiring... never thought that I would end up with having these many kids... a lot of people say that my hubby and I must be crazy to have a lot of kids in this day and age but I say it's a gift from God, all of my kids are a gift from God and who am I to say no? I firmly believe that he wouldn't give us these many kids if we weren't capable of looking after them and it's been a very rewarding life after all... it may be hard during the first few years but once they start going to school, its a blur...

... I've got 3 kids celebrating their birthdays, each a week apart... so we made some sample cupcakes for the two kids to bring to school, the other one said he didn't want to bring anything... one of the birthday celebrants didn't like the vanilla cream cheese icing but loved the cupcake, so now am trying to find a chocolatey icing as this boy absolutely loves anything chocolate...

... looks like I'm getting better with taking artistic shots of our baking delights, even hubby is impressed since I am only using an iphone, he keeps on telling me to use his camera but I keep on telling him the iphone is much more convenient for me since I always have it close to me and I don't need to transfer the file to the computer and then onto facebook or my blog, just too much hassle for me... way too much hassle and I like things simple hehehe...
